What Will I Miss?

Well, I just spent my last Monday in Montreal. It was a good day. I did my first of two tests on which I will be graded for the course. It was "mise en situation" day. Essentially, someone acts as a patient, and the nurse needs to do a history and physical in order to come up with a diagnosis. If need be, the nurse calls a doctor and gives the pertinent information in order for the doctor to make a diagnosis and order the appropriate treatments. It went much better then I expected. I have been stressing about this for 3 weeks, and it went very well. Maybe my five years in the ER have paid off!!!!!

What will I miss...........my family, my Moms home cooking and my Dads advice. My cat, and her favorite past time of sleeping on the keyboard of the computer or on my textbooks while I try to study. My apartment............there is nothing like home. Being able to drink water directly from a tap, instead of boiling it first. Living 5 minutes away from blockbuster, God will I miss Blockbuster. I already miss the ER, and my friends there, so I will not dwell on what is already a sore spot. I will miss being present for the wedding preparations of my best friend, Jennifer. At least I got to go shopping with her for her wedding dress, which is beautiful.

Thats all for now folks.

One week to go

Well, I leave in 7 days!!!!!!!!!! Scared as hell, but excited all the same. I have not been blogging often as the classes are intense and I am very tired. We have our test on Friday, and I have been studying like crazy this weekend, I hope it pays off.

I bought my Canada Goose parka this week, and it makes me look like an Eskimo!! Especially with the fur ruff around the hood. I will post a pic when I get up north. The news said that the town we are going to just got a major storm this week .......and here its 16 degrees out.

Packing is coming along, but I am trying not to go over the 30kg weight limit for baggage. It is hard to anticipate what I will need for 2 months. I think it will be easier to pack for the second contract, when I know what I will need.

This week I will try to do some studying each night, but will also try to see friends and family so that I can say goodbye. I know I leave soon, but I don't think it has really sunk in yet.

So, that's it, got to get back to studying the musculo-skeletal system, and then about 10 more sections!!!!!
